Greetings,
My name is Dean Thompson and I am a Certified General Appraiser specializing in the appraisal of commercial and industrial real estate in the Metro Atlanta and Northern GA market areas. I've had my own appraisal business for 25 years, which operates as DTI Commercial Appraisals. I've been involved in the real estate industry in one way or another in the Atlanta area since the mid-1980's.
From 1985 to 1990 I was a local real estate agent. I took a position as an appraiser at my local tax assessors office in early 1990, which is where I began my journey into appraising commercial real estate. I was the head of the commercial appraisal department for the last five years I was there. I started my own appraisal business in mid-1999 and have been in operation ever since.
My wife and I lived south of Atlanta in McDonough, GA for 24 years, which is where we raised our family and built my business. We moved to Canton, GA in 2018 to be closer to family, which is where we live today. Canton is also the current base of my appraisal operations.
I only do commercial/industrial appraisals and do not appraise single-family homes.
